About
As President and founder of Hampton Properties LLC, Russ Haims has spent over thirty years revitalizing Worcester neighborhoods. In 1987, he found a severely neglected multifamily for sale. Looking past its dilapidated condition, he saw the potential to transform not only the building but the entire neighborhood, one property at a time. This initial project became the mission and operating model for Hampton Properties, which has gone on to renovate over 500 units throughout the city.
In the early 2000s, he focused on Clark University’s Main South neighborhood, transforming three-deckers, which resulted in an additional 150 quality units for student housing and created new opportunities for first-time homebuyers. He has since replicated that early model to presently serve students from Becker College, WPI, and MCPHS.
He has also restored a large number of historic properties throughout the city and is the recipient of the Silver Hammer Award in 2005, 2011, and 2021. The award recognizes work that has made a positive impact on the community.
